Training Videos

Working with ClassLink, I’ve created 50+ instructional videos on how to use various aspects of the products they offer. Because the software is proprietary, I am limited in what I can share publicly. However, the videos chosen below showcase my ability, process, and style found in the others.

My Classes: Overview

This video is part of the introduction to a course that covers the three main benefits of ClassLink’s My Classes app, including the ability to add apps, use class announcements and discussion threads, and track student usage with its analytics.

For this video, I wrote the script, storyboard, created the graphics, and edited the video. The voiceover was contracted.

Auto-Provisioning Animation

Inspired by the 50s/60s educational cartoons growing up, I wanted to include some of my custom illustrations and quirky personality into what would normally be a rather dry topic to explain.

For this video, I wrote the script, did the drawings, voice-over, editing, and After Effects animations.

ClassLink: Love Learning

ClassLink wanted a promotional video for its new campaign, Love Learning. The video script and voiceover were provided, but they needed help visually communicating its message. I pulled together the video footage, created additional artwork, and edited the video using After Effects.

ClassLink would eventually hire a full time video and motion graphics editor to finish the product, but this was the first draft presented.

CMC: Copy Roster Server Permissions for CMC App

This how-to video walks a ClassLink administrator through copying an app’s permissions and adding it to another within the ClassLink Management Console (CMC).

I wrote the script, recorded the voiceover, selected the footage, created the product screenshots and illustrated artwork, and edited the video. As part of the culture at ClassLink, we try to incorporate bits of humor into the videos.

ARO: Add a Course to Your Plan

Blue Ridge Community College contracted me to redesign their Advising and Registration Orientation course. As a non-student, I had limited access to the registration system and had to manipulate most of the screenshots captured to match the student interface and flow.

As part of the design process, I also created a series of silent explainer video super shorts (roughly one-minute videos) as examples of what their internal design team could do since they had more access than I did. This was just one of four designed.
